If only I had read these hadiths earlier -I wouldn’t have felt so overwhelmed with the idea of being pregnant, especially when you not getting enough moral and emotional support from the people who should really be there for you. These hadiths would have defeinitely calmed, soothed my nerves and anxiety.

THE VIRTUES OF PREGNANCY (IN ISLAM)

· When a woman is pregnant with a child, all the angels will make Istighfar (repentance) on her behalf. Allah SWT will, for each day of her pregnancy, write for her 1000 good deeds and erase from her 1000 bad deeds.

· When a pregnant woman starts to feel the pain from contractions, Allah SWT will write in her records as someone who is doing jihad (spiritual or physical struggle) in His path.

· When a woman becomes pregnant by her husband and he is pleased with her, she obtains the reward of a person engaging in fasting for Allah SWT and a person spending the night in ibaadah (worship).

· A woman from the time of pregnancy until childbirth and weaning the baby, is like the Mujahid (someone fighting in the path of Allah, swa) who is stationed on the frontiers of the Islamic land. If she dies during this period, she dies the death of a shahid (martyr).

· Two raka’at salaat performed by a pregnant woman is better than 80 raka’at salaat performed by a non-pregnant woman.

· A woman who is pregnant gets the reward of fasting during the day and of doing ibaadah (worship) during the nights.

· A woman who gives birth gets the reward of 70 years of salaat (prayer) and fasting. For each vein that feels pain, Allah SWT gives her the reward of one accepted hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah).

· If the woman dies within 40 days of giving birth, she will die as a shahid (matyr).

(Hadith)…….”A woman that dies in her virginity or during her pregnancy or at the time of birth or thereafter (in nifaas) will attain the rank of a martyr”

Nabi(salalaallahu alayhi wassallam) is reported to have also said “…….When her labour pains commence, the inhabitants of the earth and the sky are unaware of the stores of comfort that are prepared for her. When she delivers and breast feeds her child, then she will be granted a reword for every gulp of milk, if she had to remain awake during the night for the sake of the child, she will receive the reword of emancipating seventy slaves in the path of Allah Ta’ala. O Salaamat! Do you know who these women are? They are pious, upright, with a delicate nature yet obedient to their husbands and not ungrateful to them

hi im now in the train with my husband going to work as usual. im 8 months pregnant now and my feet are swollen and i always short of breath. cant wait to take my maternity leave which i can start at 13 june10. so about a month, arghh thats a long time to wait.. i just dont want to think about work anymore,it just make me more tired.

oh this month (May) i do alot of shopping but not for myself it is for people's birthday gift. on the 4th my husband's cousin, 10th my bestfriend ros, 15th my sister in-law, 25th my mom and the 29th is my husband's birthday. so can u imagine how much i've spent just for them?

My body hurts. Now that I'm getting bigger (and bigger) I'm starting to experience all sorts of pains during pregnancy. You know the kind I mean.feeling fatigue, my back hurts, my head hurts, my legs, my belly, even my toes hurt sometimes. Like every other symptom where pregos get, pains during pregnancy are definitely of the all.

Pernahkah puan mendengar lagu mendodoikan anak atau lullaby Inggeris Rock-a bye-baby yang berbunyi seperti berikut “When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall, down will come baby, cradle and all?”

Lagu ini menceritakan bagaimana buai itu patah dan jatuh ke bawah membawa bersamanya bayi sekali. Sememangnya tiada tempat yang lebih selamat untuk menidurkan bayi selain dari baby cot.

Buaian boleh menjadi satu punca kepada kecederaan kepala bayi dan boleh mengakibatkan kerosakan pada otak bayi.

Penggunaan buai untuk menidurkan bayi boleh mengakibatkan pendarahan otak atau subdural haemorrhage.

Hakikatnya, kebanyakan kes pendarahan otak subdural yang bukan melibatkan kes penderaan boleh dikaitkan dengan penggunaan buai.

Otak bayi sebenarnya terapung dalam tengkorak dan jika bayi digerakkan dengan kuat, otak akan bergerak pada hala yang bertentangan dengan tengkorak.

Akibatnya, saluran darah yang bersambung pada permukaan otak ke tengkorak pecah menghasilkan pendarahan otak subdural.

Henjutan buai yang perlahan-lahan itu tidak berbahaya tetapi pergerakan melantun buai dengan springnya menghasilkan pergerakan atas bawah seolah-olah seperti menggoyang bayi dalam tangan dengan kuat, menghasilkan kecederaan yang sama.

Hayunan buai juga boleh mengakibatkan kepala bayi terhantuk dinding. Pernah berlaku di mana abang kepada bayi yang berumur dua tahun yang gemar menghayun buai tidak sedar kepala bayi sedang menghentak dinding.

Ada juga kes di mana rangka besi buai jatuh menghempap bayi dan juga spring atau tali putus.

Ada juga bahaya yang lain seperti tercekik atau strangulation. Bila bayi sudah mula memusing badan ia mungkin terjaga dari tidur, memusingkan mukanya ke bawah dan leher boleh tersepit dalam lipatan kain buai.

Hentak kepala (Head banging)

Apabila anak kita mula mengamalkan tabiat hentak/hantuk kepala, kita naik risau dan bimbang mungkinkah ia boleh menyebabkan kerosakan pada otak.

Dua puluh peratus daripada kanak-kanak yang sihat melalui tabiat ini seketika. Lazimnya, umur bermula setahun setengah dan berakhir secara spontan menjelang umur empat tahun.

Lelaki adalah tiga kali lebih kerap memperoleh tabiat ini daripada perempuan. Kanak-kanak yang berusia lebih empat tahun dan masih mempunyai tabiat ini haruslah dibawa menjalani pemeriksaan lanjut.

Selalunya, kanak-kanak meninggalkan tabiat ini dengan sendiri ketika membesar tetapi kita boleh cuba mempercepatkan proses ini dengan mengamalkan cara sambil lewa bila ia berlaku.

Tabiat ini menjadi satu cara kanak-kanak ‘mengugut’ untuk mendapatkan sesuatu atau menarik perhatian. Apabila ia berlaku, kita mesti jangan mengalah dan mengikut segala rentak dan kemahuan mereka.

Pada ketika ia berlaku, kita mesti cuba mengalihkan perhatian kanak-kanak tersebut dan mengubahnya ke aktiviti lain.

Mujurnya, kanak-kanak yang sihat tidak akan mengalami apa-apa kecederaan yang serius dengan tabiat ini.

Rasa kesakitan mengelakkan mereka dari menghentak dengan kuat dan kanak-kanak bawah tiga tahun tidak boleh menghasilkan tekanan atau tenaga yang cukup untuk mendapatkan kerosakan otak.

Kepala kanak-kanak ini boleh menahan trauma yang menjadi kebiasaan ketika belajar jalan dan memanjat. Kanak-kanak sihat yang menghantuk atau menghentakkan kepala akan membesar menjadi remaja yang normal.

hello there..it has been a very long time since im blogging...i bet at this time no one is reading this post.people has forgotten this blog perhaps.heh. somehow i just gonna write..

let me begin now..at 21years old im married n pregnant.alhamdulillaah.. never thought this would be my life..but yeah people plan for life but god destine for it.

im surviving the first trimester of my pregnancy..having bad morning sickness n striving hard to go to work..neglecting soo many things like my husband, house chores n even myself. first time in my life that i dont like to go out from the house. go shopping? eat at cool restaurant? watch movies? too tired for them. all i can do is staying at home lying on my bed.i felt like dying.. but watever it is..i know that its worth it. having a baby has been my dream..since i was a little girl i always dream having my own baby..thinking hows my baby going to look..dress her up and even wear for her make-up. ofcourse i did those things to my dolls. oh i even ironed my doll's hair n it melted.haha

im pity for my husband..he has to take care of me, watch whenever i vomit in the toilet. i know sometimes hes stressed up n forgotten that im pregnant n having bad sickness. he even tell me to do house chores while im lying on my bed feeling nausea, headache etc. in the end he will do it himself. heh.

Today is the 20th day of ramadhan and 10 more days to syawal..it has been a very long time i blog, dont know why suddenly i feel like writing today.. well this ramadhan and the past ramadhan i've been wanting to khatam quran by the end of ramadhan but sadly i never achieve it. Now im still stuck at juz 14, i better speed up my tilawah. Muhasabah for myself..what did i do all this while..i go to work everyday..try my best to come home to iftar with family. Sometimes i had to give my time to my dear friends..like having iftar with them and go out shopping. I always tell my students to pray teraweh everyday at least 8 rakaats (which i did not do myself)....'guilt' that is what im feeling now. As for now i only did teraweh for hmm..i think 8 days. what about the other 11 days? hmm..ana fi khusr. I had a bad flu last friday so i went to the doctor and i was charged at $58 for 5 medicines. yes it is expensive yet it is very good but i didnt finish my antibiotic. My mum and him will get mad at me..heh. Now its already the last 10 days of ramadhan and that means its time to do qiyam and it also means to do kueh raya. I have to do it while im working everyday..darn. PERSEVERANCE. Now im disturbed by the tonsils, it just can make a person's mood goes up side down. Its not me who's having it,it is my dearest fiance. Syafahullaah..

Heroes of Islam

This book is good..as we all a khalifah in this earth we should or we have to know about the other khalifahs in the past.We the Muslim have no need to look for fictitious or mythical heroes, because their history is abundant with heroes of real flesh and blood, whose acts were heroic because of their faith, and a consequence of their attitude to life and the world.

For all the heroes of Islam share two very special traits: full conviction and dedication to their pristine faith and constant attempt to seek the Pleasure of their Creator, Allah, alone, regardless of the circumstances and times they live in.

For a Muslim hero, be he a military genius, a scholar teacher, or a devout common person, knows that the transient life in this world is a means to the eternal life in the Hereafter, and that ephemeral pains and pleasures are nothing compared to the everlasting pains and pleasures of Hell and Heaven. To this hero, the key to the whole thing is Divine Pleasure. Through it alone can a person enjoy peace and tranquility in this world and attain real happiness in the life Hereafter.

The Prophet (salla-Liaahu 'alayhi wa-sallam) is reported to have said: "Strange is the case of the believer. Everything turns to his advantage only. If adversity befalls him he patiently accepts it, and is rewarded for it. If prosperity happens to him he shows gratitude to his Lord (in word and action), and is rewarded for it." So a hero of Islam faces both prosperity and adversity with the right attitude and action. His goal is not worldly pleasures and gains, but rather the Pleasure of Allah.

This book presents the glimpses of the lives of some of the greatest heroes and role models of Islam. It covers the four righteous caliphs, 47 male and female companions of the Prophet, 8 followers of the companions, 6 religious scholars, 7 reformers, and 7 scientists. There was a time in my youth,When Islam was only a custom.They said "say La IIaha IIIa Allah,..And pray, you'll go to Heaven."

Ah, how simple, no struggle in this,Just a word, and simple act.Thereafter I'm absorbed in this world again,With my 'assured' place in Paradise intact.
But this was not to be my fateFor ALLAH chose to guide my heart.I learnt of a man who struggled so hardWhen his mission was from the start.

The story of someone who had morals,Spoke gently, kindness he knew.Never fearing to say what's right,His conviction in ISLAM was true.
The touch of his hand was as soft as silkTo comfort a crying child.To mend his clothes, or do the chores,Never complaining, he always smiled.

A living he made with his bare hands,The same that held his mighty sword.Valour shone from the edge of his blade,
His smell was always of musk,And cleanliness he kept at his best.Stark contrast with the heroes of today,Who stink of beer and sweat.

He held the hands of his companions.Unashamed to play with many children.So modest, so humble, a perfect example,That strangers could not recognise him.
His eyes slept little for nights were precious,His prayers he treasured much greater.To pray Tahajjud in the depths of night,Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator.

He broke his tooth for me at Uhud,And bled for me at Ta'if.He cried for me, tears of concern,Just so I could have this belief.
His enemies admired his teachings,Uniting every religion, every clan.Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world,O, but indeed he was only a man.

To own a house, or build his wealthWas not his main priority.To establish ISLAM was more essential,To bring us under a Higher Authority.
Don't you want him to plea for your case,When before ALLAH-The Judge-you stand?Don't you wish to be around his fountain,A burning desire to drink from his hand?

So I love him more than all creation,My Leader, my Humble Prophet.Muhammad (SAWS) was a mercy to all mankind,And to me, he is MY BELOVED !

It seems to me that I have not blogged about my personal life for quite some time.well it simply becoz i dun have anything to share..heh. just reflecting back on last thursday i went hiking to gunung stong at kelantan.it was a xpdc ukhuwah by saff.alhamdulillah..tercapai hajat nak tengok awan N sun rise bila kat atas.heh.oh bukan tu jek, rainbow pon!~best kan! ^_^ Ekcely pegi sane untuk make frens n spent time with the nature. kalau sorang2 dekat hutan lagi best!hehe (macaam real je tiqah) dok hutan sorang2(waktu siang)insyaAllah bley la tapi kalo gua yg gelap tu ana blm brani lg..hehe. so far semua best! ni experience dat cannot be purchase tau. lagi2 kite org s'pore. mane ada tempat semacam ni kan.pat spore, sane sini man made.orang2 asek kagumkan perbuatan manusia.da bosan! bila pat stong,subhanaAllah kesemuanya ciptaan Allah.ana dpt rasekn ketenangan yang susah nk rase pat spore ni. tapi syg la..skejap je xpdc ni.departed 5th balek 8th. sbenarnye ana dah rindu semue kengkawan pendaki2 stong.korang kaki da baik sakit blom?! hehe. rindu ah korang..kak huda kate nak urutkan kaki adek! tak fair..hmph..tkpe, lain hari ade.hehe.

Why muslim women wear the head scarf?

1- I wanna to distinguished as a muslim and i wore because i'am proud to be a muslim.

2- I want it challenging to the stereotype as a muslim, like everything i do i'm judge for as a muslim person.

3- Stereotypes are thinking that muslims women are oppresed while we really liberated.

4- The most important for me as a muslim women is to be respected for who i am, my thought and my ideas and not the way i look.

Hijab is a modest dress, modest way of speaking, modest way of conversing and interacting with the opposite sex.

There a psychological discussion behind it, that the way a man observes a woman is different from the way women observe men.

im watching a programe titled 'do you think you can dance?' thou for me its really stupid to dance loike dat but they r all great dancers! i mean it! dey can stand their breath without choking! whoa! ok anw for the first time i went to VIVO city! dats the hottest shopping centre now in spore..pple been chatting about it everynow n den.(im telling it too!) heh..after all yeah..its HUGE n it hurt my foot like toot..! -_- actually,all the shops der r the same as wat have at the orchard rd. yet the gd things is all of it in one building! wat make it different than others shopping mall is its located at hobourfront which means sentosa and which means the views are spectacular! we can see the sea wit ships n the sky wit cable cars! hahakz! *lame* hehe. but true,its really nice der..for thos who r a posing freak pls bring ur camera along wen u visit vivo city.(u can add to ur friendster gallery) khekhekhe! ok stop talking about it.

Refrain from bad deeds and repent your soul;
The pleasure of Allah is our only goal.

Even if there is hunger, remember your Lord
And wait until 'Iftar' to earn your reward.

Fasting is one of the gifts of Allah Given to the believers.

Allah Ta'ala gave us the Quran,
He explained the meaning of Ramadan.
We eat before the sun comes out,
Then quickly put all the food away in time,
To pray fajr for the start of the day.
We fast till it's time for the sun to go down,
We make Du'ah, eat dates and pray,
We say al-hamdulillah for all the goodness of the day.

Fasting storry:

"But, Mum, I do not want to eat. I am a big boy and I can fast," Omar told his mother.

"But you are fasting, Omar. 7-years-old children eat in the morning and a little in the afternoon and then they don't eat anything else till evening."

"But you do not fast like that, Mum," the little boy insisted.

"I am older, Omar. Grown ups fast that way."

The young gentleman sat deep in thought and then asked, "Mum, why do we fast?"

"That's a good question, Omar." She got up and went to the kitchen cupboard. She removed something from it.

"Do you know what this is, Omar?"
"It's a blender."
"Do you know what it is supposed to do?"
"It blends passion fruit for juice." Omar replied. his mother laughed.
"Yes, it does blend.
Our body does the same thing. It grinds the food we eat; it takes what it needs and removes the rest. It does this everyday, day in day out."

"Doesn't the body get tired, Mum?"
"It does. Just like the blender. When we have blended juice for too long, it refuses to work. Then it needs fixing.
So we have to give our body a rest so it can work better for us.

That's why we fast in Ramadan and some other days in the year."
"Does everybody fast, Mummy?"

"Not everybody. If you are ill or expecting a baby or if you are old and weak like Daddy's grandpa or if you are 7 years old then you don't fast.

The little boy thought some more. He ate the food his mother had set before him without much fuss. "What if you don't want to fast?"

"What is your sister Nur's favorite color?"
"Pink".
"And what is the color of her uniform for Madrassa (School)?"
"Blue".
But she says she'd like to wear her pink hijab when she goes."
"And why doesn't she?"

"She is afraid Ustaadh (Teacher) will punish her."
"You see, she was afraid Ustaadh would punish her.
Ustaadh will punish her because she has broken the rule of the madrassa by wearing pink.

You see, Omar, Allah knows what is good for us and so we have to do as He commands,
because He sees and knows everything.
We love Him and fear Him and we don't want Him to be displeased with us."

"But don't you get hungry, Mum?"

"Of course we do. But we keep ourselves busy on other important things to take our mind away from the food.
We read the Qur'an, or we visit the sick people or we go to the mosque and listen to dars.
You see there's plenty to do and before you know it, it's time to eat!"

"Is there another reason why Muslims fast?"
"Yes. You are lucky, Omar, because you have food everyday.
Not everyone has food to eat."

"Like the poor people at Baroda Road?"

"Yes, like them. If we go hungry like them, we will be able to understand that they need help."

The little boy seemed satisfied with the answers, his mother had given him.
"Mum, can I go with you and Daddy to help the poor?"
"By the Grace of Allah, you can."she smiled
